Habitat For Humanity - Dec 11th
On December 11th, Habitat For Humanity had a dedication for 661 Grandville Ave. Linda and her three children received the keys to their new home and a warm and generous celebration welcoming them to the neighborhood. There was a great turn out by Habitat For Humanity Kent County team members,MLive and Meijer employees, volunteers, and local businesses that supported building of Linda's new home. The home was dedicated in the memory of Andy Angelo, longtime news editor of The Grand Rapids Press. Andy committed a significant portion of his life toward improving the local community along Grandville Ave. including: overseeing as board member the raising of more than $320,000 for the Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities, his work at The Grand Rapids Press, as well as writing books including "I remember...A History of Grandville Avenue".
We appreciate the great partners supporting our ribbon cutting.
Thanks Mark Allen for your help in setting the event.
